Actually, the virus continues to infect new pigeon flocks and has now got into several feral flocks of domestic pigeons.
There are still 1-2 new flocks infected weekly so don't become lax. I think the officials have just realised that they are unable to control the spread at this stage.

The good news is that it is still restricted to Columba livia- the homing/racing/feral pigeons and has not infected other feral dove species eg spotted turtle dove. It also has not infected poultry to date.

govt = denial is the best form of control = NOPE

it is now in a number of ferrel pigeon flocks in inner melb

no mention is being made as I dont think the govt knows what to do - - - hmmmm - - - that sounds familiar on so many levels

(caffeine deprived so forgive the sarcasm)
