Thank you Chicka dee, I have two identical to look at Aussies and they are gorgeous. Big, fluffy and lots of feathers. I wonder what it will be like when they moult. I could stuff a pillow, maybe [smilie=a_rolling.gif] . When they run to greet me I'm sure the earth moves, they sound like a stampede coming towards you [smilie=a_holycrap.gif]

Thanks guys for your opinions.

The "girl" in question is sounding like a teenage boy whose voice is breaking [smilie=a_holycrap.gif] Though there has been no reports of any amorous behaviour towards the girls. How long before Australorp cockerels take any interest in the opposite sex?

Thanks Yas, I'll let my friend know. The breeder won't eggschange for a pullet, so hoping he'll keep his beak shut until he is rehomed.

shame the breeder will not change him for a pullet

As for not crowing to early in the mornings make him a rooster box so he cannot stretch up to crow or if she has a basement let him sleep there at night.

Thanks Yas, the breeder won't even return any communication now, all they did was asked to for an exchange :(
They live in the suburbs and I guess they can't confine him all day.
